Welcome, Tuku family, old and new! Another summer is just around the corner, and the excitement is building as we prepare to gather once again for a season filled with laughter, growth, and unforgettable memories. We are thrilled to welcome returning campers into the fold and to greet new families who are about to discover what makes Camp Tuku so special, and the home away from home to so many campers and staff.
This year, we are opening our doors in a beautiful brand-new location nestled in the mountains just outside Sedona, in the peaceful town of Rimrock. While it’s a bit further north than our previous summer home, this new setting offers stunning natural views, expansive skies, and a deep sense of history that perfectly complements the spirit of our camp. Surrounded by Arizona’s iconic red rock landscapes and vibrant desert beauty, campers will wake each morning to sunshine, fresh air, and the promise of a brand-new adventure right around the corner. An open house showcasing our amazing new location is happening on March 29th, and it’s a great time to get a feel for our new home.
With temperatures typically hovering around a warm and sunny 90 degrees, give or take a few degrees, our new location offers ideal summer weather. Mornings are bright and energizing, afternoons invite splashes in the pool and outdoor exploration, and evenings cool down just enough for cozy gatherings and campfire fun. It’s the perfect environment for campers to unplug, explore, and immerse themselves in a week or two of connection and discovery with nature. As a tech-free camp, it’s the perfect time to step away from the screen and into the fun activities of camp.
Though our surroundings may be new, everything you love about Camp Tuku remains the same. Our mission has always been to create a space where every camper feels welcomed, valued, and truly at ease. From the moment campers step onto the grounds, they are embraced by a supportive and inclusive community that celebrates individuality while fostering belonging.
Camp Tuku is filled with community-building traditions. Campfires crackle as stories are shared and songs are shared. Night games bring laughter across campgrounds and encourage teamwork. Cabin groups bond over themed activities and moments of reflection. These shared experiences deepen friendships and create the kind of memories that campers carry with them long after summer ends.
Summer camp is more than just a seasonal activity—it’s a place where lifelong friendships are formed, and confidence takes root.
