National Eat Outside Day!

National Eat Outside Day is celebrated on August 31st every year! At Camp Tuku, we love providing our campers opportunities to be their own chef! Try one of these easy snack ideas that our campers have made at Camp and enjoy it outside!

S’MORES CONE

Grab a waffle cone, marshmallows, chocolate chips and graham cracker pieces! Then stuff it with other toppings you like. Grab some tin foil to wrap your cone and bake for 5-7 minutes at 400 degrees! Carefully take it out and unwrap it – then head outside and enjoy it while on a nature walk!

PINEAPPLE SALSA

In a large bowl, combine diced pineapple, orange and red peppers, red onion, cilantro, lime juice and zest with a little salt and enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips outside on the patio!

Here is recipe that we used during Camp Tuku Virtual Session in 2020.
