They will learn to identify and express their emotions, and to shift their state any time they feel depleting emotions such as sadness, disappointment, anger, frustration, and so on. Campers will be trained on a powerful tool based on research from the Institute of HeartMath that they can use any time to quickly gain control of their emotions. This is important because studies show that being trained on socio-emotional skills at this early age can improve their behavior and performance at school, home and play.
